David Cameron outlines his route to EU referendum

Open Europe is quoted by the FT as saying that an in-out referendum on the UK's EU membership would raise more questions than answers, although “steps towards greater eurozone integration and an increasingly sceptical UK public mean that the UK will almost certainly have to change its relationship with Europe, including new membership terms, which may have to be put to a referendum sooner or later.”
Open Europe's Director Mats Persson is quoted by Reuters and EurActiv as saying,“[David Cameron] has a difficult challenge. The Conservative Party is increasingly restless on Europe, because the eurozone is integrating further... The question keeps returning – he can't deflect it.”
Channel 4 News cites Open Europe's recent briefing outlining the potential alternatives to EU membership if the UK decided to the leave the EU altogether.
