Open Europe to stage alternative EU 'family photo'

WHAT: At this week's EU summit in Brussels, Open Europe will be staging an alternative 'family photo' of all 27 EU leaders. The event features life-size models of all 27 EU leaders with their fingers in their ears – symbolising the determination of Europe's politicians to avoid giving their voters a say in referendums on the new constitutional treaty. The event mirrors the traditional 'family photo' of leaders which takes place at European Council meetings.
WHEN: Thursday 21 June, from 9am until 4pm. Tony Blair's former Economics Advisor and Open Europe Vice-Chairman Derek Scott will be available for interview from 10am.
WHERE : Avenue de la Joyeuse Entrée, in front of the entrance to the Parc du Cinquantenaire, (200 metres from the Schuman Roundabout and Council building), 1040 Brussels.
